These were the headline less than a week before the show last year, in 2012.

THE SHOW IS GOING AHEAD!                                                                                                   The Show is today, Saturday 14th July.                                                                                    Show and Meet 2012                                                                                                                  Due to the waterlogged condition of the field that we usually use, we have had to change the venue at short notice.                                                                                                           The New Venue is:

Lords Meadow Leisure Centre                                                                                      Commercial Road,                                                                                                              Crediton, EX17 1ER

        We have the use of a large area of the tarmac sports area, which is used for 5 a side football. Plenty of room, no mud and good access. Crediton Football Club are opening their club house for us, so there is a bar, tea coffee and cakes, toilets, and a comfortable place to be if it rains. This has all been arranged in the last couple of days, with the help of the Leisure Center Managers and the Crediton Football Club Committee. Jill and Andy are really dissapointed that we will not be at the Rose and Crown, but they have been very supportive in these new arrangements. The Rose and Crown is only a mile from the new venue, and they will be pleased to see you if you fancy a pub meal during the show. So, the Show and Meet is still on, and your support, whatever the weather, will be really appreciated. Unfortunately, the main Dog Show will be cancelled, but the Best Dressed Biker Dog class will remain, and Jill will do the judging....so bring your hound to the show!

So, with the support of Andy and Jill at the Rose and Crown and help of the Duty Managers at the Sports Centre, Mid Devon County Council, Crediton Town Football Club and the local "Communications Team" who at the last minute supplied and set up the marquees and supplied the generators, we were ready as the clouds disappeared, the sky cleared and the sun shone, just as the first bikes arrived. Thanks to you all!

After all the bad weather we had experienced for week after week, we were all amazed that the sun came out and the bikes kept rolling in.

Our bands rocked, first on was 'Better Luck Next Time', then 'House of Kane', and finally 'All or Nothing' completed the day.

Over 400 bikes turned up, and some stunning bikes and stunned owners went away with the trophies. 'Hendrix' a sort of doggy mutt won 'Best Dressed Biker Dog', complete with leather jacket and neckerchief. Zoe of 'Mad Hatters Catering', with Ben, Danny and         kept the BBQ going flat out, the wheelie bike was up on it's back wheel, the Football Club bar was crowded and they had to get more cider! A big thank you to all bussinesses that donated towards the trophies, the stall holders and displays that came and supported us, the bikers for turning up, the bands for playing for free, and the local bikers and ex-bikers who run the event. The event raised £2,335 which was donated to Devon Air Ambulance Trust.
